History of the Club

Real So Cal was the product of the 2006 merger of two prominent southern California clubs, So Cal United and Samba. Both clubs shared a passion for player development, quality professional coaching and teams competing at the highest leverls of youth soccer.  The merger foundation was based on respect, familiarity with players and coaches, and shared soccer ideologies.

Real So Cal is a "dba" for West Valley Soccer League. WVSL was formed in 1966 and runs one of the largest recreational soccer programs in Southern California. The RSC/WVSL integration was an invaluable asset to the club and allowed for true player development under one youth soccer "umbrella" from the age of four to age nineteen.

Even though Real So Cal Players have gone on to play professional soccer in all parts of the world and represent the Youth Nation Teams of various countries, we are most proud of our college placement success.  Each and every year numerous RSC players matriculate into the college ranks playing soccer at universities all across the USA.

In our continuous mission to give our members the best possible soccer experience, Real So Cal has evolved once again to become LAFC So Cal Youth, creating a unique partnership with one of Major League's finest organizations.  As a part of the LAFC family, we will now share in their community presence, soccer leadership and player pathway.

A new name, logo and identity has been established.  Yet, the stars that represent the six United States National Championships won by Real So Cal teams remain a part of us, a proud symbol of our history.
