Coaches check list

Parent coaches - When you sign up your child you will get the option to sign up as a Coach / Volunteer.

You will need to complete this for each of your children you are coaching.

If you are not a Parent coaches - You need to sign up as a Coach / Volunteer. same as above. Registration portal is the same as the players.

New coaches please send an email to Paul at paul@lafcsocal.org let him know you are volunteering to coach. He can create a coaching account and GotSports for you.

Returning coaches You should already have an account and GotSports if you have a problem logging in please reach out to Paul.

Your US Club Soccer requirements will appear on your dashboard once your org admin/club registrar adds you to GotSport and affiliates you with US Club Soccer. Please be sure you are logging into your GotSport account using the same email address used by your org admin/club registrar.

These requirements are federal and state programs for any adult supervising children.

Assembly Bill 506 (AB 506) was approved by Governor Gavin Newsom in Sept. 2021 and took effect on January 1, 2022. AB 506 became law as Section 18975 within Chapter 2.9 Youth Service Organizations, which falls under Division 8 of the Business and Professions Code. (Click Here for More INFO)

SUBMIT BACKGROUND CHECK - This needs to be done every two years

Please note that the club pays the fee for this and we have an account set up to auto debit when you do your background check. The system will show the fee but just “continue” and our account will be charged.

SUBMIT SAFESPORT - This needs to be renewed every year

Adverse Eligibility List Review (Staff) - This needs to be done every two years

Submitting Heads Up - This needs to be completed one time

Sudden Cardiac Arrest Training - This needs to be completed one time
